Rev. Curtis J. Young
Curt has served as Senior Minister of Church of the Atonement for 23 years. He is gratefully married to Diane. Together they have raised five children. All are married or soon to be. Curt and Diane are blessed with three grandchildren. A Boston terrier, “Mr. Tibbs,” also is part of their life.
Curt came to Christ at the University of Illinois. He graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1978, with an M. Div., summa cum laud. He served as Executive Director of the Christian Action Council for ten years. During that time he wrote, The Least of These, which earned a Gold Medallion Award for excellence in Christian publishing. In 1987, he was ordained to pastoral ministry in the PCA. He pastored a PCA congregation in Seattle for over six years before accepting the call to Church of the Atonement. In 2011 Curt earned a doctor of ministry degree in adult learning theory from Covenant Theological Seminary.
Rev. Terence Little
My first day at Church of the Atonement was New Year’s Day 2017. I am a native of the great state of North Carolina. I am no stranger to the life of the church. I come from 5 generations of pastors. I am passionate about teaching, preaching, and discipleship, and I love to read and discuss theology. One of my weekly highlights, also, is to take a nice drive “through the country,” and if one is nearby, stopping by Cracker Barrel for supper.
